About : Information for Registered Racers

Dear Ski To The Clouds Competitor,

5:20 am Race Day!  Nice weather, yes?  We are out grooming the course after yesterday's intense rain.  Course is coming together well.  Waxing may be a challenge with one inch of new snow on top of barely consolidated wet corn snow.  This is being tilled together now. Likely to be more and drier snow as the course heads up the Auto Road.  Currently we intend to finish at the half-Way mark as intended but may have to modify that if the winds do not diminish - however - the winds have been diminishing over the last couple of hours here at the base.  Temp is currently 29 F.  Good Luck!

Bib Pick-up:
Saturday, March 8, 12:00-4:00 pm
Sunday, March 9, 7:30-9:15 am

All competitors should be to the start area by 9:45 for pre-race announcements.

Warm clothes bags to finish:
This is very important, if you would like to have warm clothes at the finish, you need to bring the items to Great Glen on Saturday afternoon or by 7:45 am on Sunday morning.  The support vehicles (SnowCoaches) will head up the Auto Road with clothes bags at 8:00 am.  This is so the groomer can get one more pass down the road to cover the SnowCoach’s tracks.  (Trust us, this will make your decent or passing much easier).  Plastic bags and tags will be provided by Great Glen but you can bring clothes in your own bag with your name on it if you choose.  You will be able to ski back down to the start area as soon as you’re ready after you finish.  It can be quite cold and windy at Halfway House Site (finish area).
